Entry #D-7: "Dismiss"
[audio recording]
New people seem to have joined Asgard, as well as Niflheim.
Hack, or don't. I really could care less about information that should be public.
1. Vincent is one of Asgard's. I think that he knows Henry and Frank, or at least of them, because in his journal entry he refers to Silent Hill. He is not a conventional Christian and is a bit confused as to why he was chosen for heaven's side... so he's much like me. However, he's still very interested in "home." He might have some trouble adjusting because of this. There is someone... probably a woman... that he misses a great deal. Vincent, you might have hacked this and could be reading it, so if this is correct or needs revision, please say so. I'm leaving this entry "hackable" because I am often misinterpreted, and would like to short-circuit that if at all possible.
2. "Uncle Allen" is confident... seems to know something about Niflheim's ringleader. I have to admit, I'm intrigued. Then, this is only what I can glean from the journals... one thing that I've found to be very frustrating about this realm is the fact that obtaining information is extraordinarily difficult. It's not easy to profile when there is nothing to go on... I merely have hunches, and that adds up to lazy investigating. Solid proof and inspired realizations are the only way to really solve a case. And while this is a war, and not a case, the same rules apply. There are people I know too little about, and, infuriatingly, they're the ones who are the most secretive.
3. Banru, of Niflheim. This world impresses him, meaning he's used to a simpler or less privileged place. Old Gods... probably a polytheist. He uses an odd vernacular in a language I don't recognize, indicating that he is from another different world, or dimension... Refers to "mortals," so perhaps he's of supernatural origin.
4. Someone on Heaven's side... name, gender, and age are yet to be determined. Going from the journal, this individual is from a society more technologically advanced... perhaps even more than the world Light, Mello and I are from. Made mentions of Dorothy, "Galerians", and someone named "Pat." Prioritize finding the origins of these names out. Individual has been involved with wars before, as indicated by the word "another"... could come in useful.
5. Souji Okita, Captain of the Shinsengumi's First Unit- Already, a great deal of information. Name and title... Asgard's. I think that this individual is flexible and adaptable, as shown by his clear willingness to "change as soon as possible." Possibly Buddhist... in fact, probably, due to the fact that this man is clearly Japanese and refers to the "Western God." Worried about regulations, so authority-bound and rule-oriented. Still... he's adaptable. A very good combination, that, even if it's contradictory. Hijikata and Kondou are allies, Choushuu are the adversaries, and Shinsengumi is the army or nation in which this individual's loyalties lie. Prioritize finding these out.
6. An individual who, for now, shall be referred to as "Jinx." One of ours... dead weight, perhaps. She stammers, even in the written word... considers herself useless. I'm not up for boosting some stranger's morale, so for now, she'll have to remain that way. My chief concern is that she actually can "curse" others, but for now, I can only prioritize finding out more about her apparent guilt. She mentioned a "sentence." Is she convicted of something?
7. Mihael Keehl- Ah, Mello. As always, I'm not sure whether to be amused or appalled. I know what I need to about him... he's of Niflheim's, regrettably, but his rashness will be a hindrance to them. That is, if Strix and Jazz don't turn him into jelly by the end of the day. He is slow to detect peril, as he's always been, so he'll likely be somewhat shocked when he realizes how dangerous some of the people here actually are.
8. A... woman? Random guess. She talks about "modifying" some of the devices, indicating that she has some technological ability. Other than that, I know nothing, except that she might be in Asgard. Through process of elimination and a recent check at our head count. I definitely need to find out more about her.
9. "No little girl." A young woman or girl, is my guess... she's clearly in Asgard. Her description definitely doesn't apply to the other place. She considers herself different from others of her gender and age, relating so in the dreams she has. Something traumatic, to affect them, or a sort of desire to be special...? No. She hates being alone. And she seems able to confirm that she is, in fact, different. Another Silent Hill resident, also, from the sound of it. Maybe Frank knows something.
[ooc: this is an attempt to make L's deductive process more "believable," as I am sincerely interested in improving. Please let me know how I'm driving!!!]
